Plan a purchase

Plan a Purchase is an AI flow that proposes three savings paths to a target item. It lives on the /chat page as a quick-prompt chip.

Open the modal

   Go to /chat

   Tap "Chat" in the sidebar.

   Tap the "Plan a purchase →" chip

   The Plan a purchase modal opens.

Step 1 — Tell it what you want

• Field "What do you want to buy?" — placeholder "Sony A7C Camera, MacBook Pro, PS5…"
• Field "How much does it cost?" — placeholder "1,50,000"
• Quick preset chips: ₹5,000 / ₹10,000 / ₹25,000 / ₹50,000 / ₹100,000 / ₹200,000
• Tap "Build my plan →"

Step 2 — Pick a plan

After a short "Crunching your numbers" step, the modal shows three option cards:

• Fast — tagline "Maximize cuts". Saves the most each month; cuts existing budgets.
• Balanced — tagline "Minor adjustments". Often marked "Recommended".
• No Change — tagline "No changes needed". Zero budget changes; longer timeline.

Select one and tap the button at the bottom — its label is dynamic: "Go with the {plan name} plan →".

Step 3 — Confirm and apply

• Review the "New goal" card with target, monthly allocation, and target date
• Toggle "Budget adjustments" between Apply and Skip if cuts were proposed
• Tap "Confirm and apply"
