On the Loans list page

  • "Make payment" — logs the EMI as an expense against the linked account and advances the next EMI date
  • "Prepayment calculator" — opens a dialog to model an extra monthly amount or a lump sum
  • Three-dot menu → "Edit loan" — opens the dialog with all fields pre-filled
  • Three-dot menu → "Close loan" — confirmation dialog "Close this loan?" → "Close"

Prepayment calculator

  1. 1
    Enter "Extra payment per month"
On top of your current EMI.
  2. 2
    Optionally enter "One-time lump sum"
    A one-shot payment toward principal.
  3. 3
    Read the savings block
If the inputs save more than one month, CiviQ shows "Months saved" and "Interest saved" plus a new payoff date.

Loan detail page

Tap a loan name to open /loans/[id]. The page has two tabs: "Repayment schedule" and "Documents".

Repayment schedule tab

  • Forward-looking only — paid months are not shown
  • Columns: #, Date, EMI, Principal, Interest, Outstanding
  • The first row has a green "Next" badge
  • Year-summary rows show yearly totals
  • Toggle "Show all {N} EMIs" / "Show condensed view" for long schedules

Documents tab

  1. 1
    Pick a document type
Welcome Letter, Sanction Letter, Disbursement Letter, Monthly Statement, Prepayment Receipt, Closure Letter, NOC, Insurance Policy, Property Document, or Other.
  2. 2
    Enter an optional label
Placeholder "e.g. SBI Sanction Letter, Jun 2023".
  3. 3
    Tap "Choose file to upload"
PDF, JPG, PNG, HEIC, or Word; max 20 MB.

Right panel on detail page

  • "Loan stats" — outstanding, EMI, interest rate, payoff date, EMIs remaining, total interest left
  • "Next EMI breakdown" — principal vs interest split for the next EMI; tap "EMI paid · log {amount}" to record it
  • "Reconcile with statement" — tap "Update outstanding" if floating-rate drift or a missed entry has thrown the simulation off
  • "Prepayment calculator" — same as the list-page dialog, inline on this page
