The Telegram bot is the fastest way to log in CiviQ. You don't need to open the app, tap 5 fields, and tap save. You send one message. The bot logs it and confirms.
Logging expenses
- 'spent 450 on swiggy' → Expense: ₹450, Food & dining
- 'paid 2000 for petrol' → Expense: ₹2,000, Transport
- '380 lunch' → Expense: ₹380, Food & dining
- 'dmart 2840' → Expense: ₹2,840, Groceries
- 'ola 180 to airport' → Expense: ₹180, Transport
- 'netflix 649' → Expense: ₹649, Subscriptions
- '1200 shoes flipkart' → Expense: ₹1,200, Shopping
- 'medicine apollo 328' → Expense: ₹328, Health
Logging income
- 'salary credited 1,16,819' → Income: ₹1,16,819

- 'got paid 15000 client work' → Income: ₹15,000
Splitting expenses
- 'dinner 2400 split with Rahul' → Expense ₹2,400, Rahul owes you ₹1,200
- 'goa hotel 12000 split with Priya' → Expense ₹12,000, Priya owes ₹6,000
Asking questions
- 'how much did I spend this week?' → Total expenses for last 7 days
- 'what's my food budget status?' → Budget bar for Food & dining
- 'how much have I spent this month?' → Month-to-date total
Format tips
- Numbers with commas work: 1,16,819 and 116819 both parse correctly
- ₹ symbol is optional — '450' and '₹450' both work
- Amount can come before or after the merchant: '450 swiggy' or 'swiggy 450'
- You don't need perfect grammar: 'swiggi 450 food' still works
- The bot remembers your default account — no need to specify it every time

A Sunday in Hari's life, all logged via Telegram: 9:15 AM — 'chai 15' 12:30 PM — 'lunch 280 koramangala' 3:00 PM — 'dmart 1840' 7:00 PM — 'movie inox 480' 10:00 PM — 'swiggy 350' Total Sunday spending: ₹2,965. Never opened the app. 5 messages. Done.
